The monthly round up: March;

March was another good month. I started valuing houses again & boy are the houses here amazing! I flew up to Brisbane for a few days to attend the Isagenix annual conference, got all dolled up, ate good food & saw my bestie, S at Jamie’s Italian. Our 2nd visit together, my 7th visit over 3 restaurants (a little obsessed!)

My parents came over from Perth for a week & we went up to the 88th floor and I think this is where they fell in love with my city.

Of course, their Melbourne visit consisted of trying some new places with me (duh).

Wedding ready!

Wedding ready!

After so many long weekends away from Melbourne the last few months, I flew back to Melbourne not wanting to leave any time soon. For the first time in what feels like 10 years, I don’t have any trips planned and you know what? I don’t mind. Moving to Melbourne just under six months ago is a holiday in itself. So many places to explore and so much food to get through 😀

Queensland Adventures;

In between finishing up as a Property Valuer and then flying off to Bali for a week, I haven’t had much time to sit down and write. Last week, I flew back to Perth for 24 hours before flying off to the Gold Coast of Queensland. I’m been here for a week for my best friend Sophie’s wedding before flying back to Perth for two weeks and then onto a new chapter of my life (more on that later).

Back in Bali;

Bali has well and truly stolen a large piece of my heart this month. The original plan was to fly in for four days for a wedding but when I decided I was going to quit my job before the trip, I extended my holiday to seven days.

When I previously visited Bali in June this year, I stopped by Canggu to see a friend and discovered Desa Seni, A Village Resort. I was instantly drawn to the yoga classes and all the wellness treatments on offer.

Paradise in Bali;

If you’ve been following my instagram the last week, you may have seen a mix of water & lush surroundings popping up on your feed. Apologies to those in the southern hemisphere that were seeing those from 2 degree environments!

When cheap flights to Bali popped up a few months ago, I booked them on a whim. I didn’t know my travel buddy too well, I only knew that he loves personal development, meditation, yoga & he doesn’t drink. Which was exactly what I wanted out of this trip; complete relaxation & feeling calm everyday.

We hired a scooter the whole time we were there & it was by far the easiest way to get around (even driving Jimbaran Bay to Tanah Lot one day which was 43km’s one way). We ended up riding over 2,000 km’s in a week but we saw SO much & were able to stop whenever we pleased as there was parking for scooters everywhere.

I’ve got three posts coming up; the beach clubs, food edition & relaxation (soul & body). Keep an eye out very soon 🙂

Reunited in Bondi;

My best friends ❤

No matter how many days I schedule for Bondi, it never seems to be enough. I spent 4 days in Bondi this time but I’m starting to think I’ll need a few months to feel satisfied. Waking up to that gorgeous bay could never get tiresome (just ask Eugene, who takes photos down there every single morning!)

My friends started arriving Saturday afternoon and before long, we had a bucket of sangria in our room that was all polished off (solid effort!) We stayed on the main strip so we just had to walk outside to get something to eat (we went to a Bavarian cafe that had yummy meals and plates to share which were also really well priced).

The weekend was spent eating, drinking, checking out new places and just being around each other as much as possible. Nothing about the weekend was planned other than our accommodation and it was nice to be able to just take our time waking up, eating breakfast around noon and laying on the beach on Sunday afternoon with no rush to go anywhere.

One friend left on Sunday night and the rest of us parted ways on Monday. The tears weren’t there this time (for anyone) and I guess it’s because we’re all one plane ride away from each other and the time between catch ups will never be too far apart. As one friend talks about stopping by Perth later next year, another two friends are just waiting to announce their moving dates (to Australia). Yeah it sucks not having your best friends by your side when all you want is a cuddle but I sometimes forget how far away they are with the amount of text messages, skype calls and phone calls that are exchanged between us.

It’s been nearly six years since I moved across the ditch but as we have gotten older, it has gotten easier to arrange these trips now that we’re all working full time. The next trip seems a while away but if the past year is anything to go by, it’ll be here in no time.

I’ll never get sick of this view!
