Welcome to my home!*

This is the entrance to the house, it looks rather plain from the front but you know what they say, “don’t judge a book by its cover”!

This is my kitchen, with its polished timber floors, stainless steel appliances and simple white cabinetry. We use the kitchen regularly, I love to make breakfast while my husband loves to prepare dinner.

This is where I sit with a cup of tea and gaze out into the backyard where the children play all day long. The windows are hardly ever closed as it’s always warm where we live or else a little breezy.

This is where I work hard at night, writing business proposals and feasibility studies for clients.

Occasionally, you’ll find me upstairs, finding a new book to read or sourcing a reference for a report.

But most days, you’ll find me outside. Reading the paper in the morning with my breakfast, lunch with the hubby while the kids are at school and then after school, watching as the kids run around the backyard.

Sorry I couldn’t find any photos of the bedrooms and living area, it’s all a big mess since we repainted the place!

  1. I absolutely love that place!

You know; the first step to success is to act like you’ve already achieved it and I love this blog post because it does exactly that! You are so focused and determined to achieve your dreams and you are well on your way! Continue with all the hard work because this is exactly what you’ll get (plus some!).

    Determined souls get further! πŸ™‚

    • Oh wow you’re so right! I remember hearing exactly that on ‘The Secret’, in order to have something, you have to already make yourself believe you do.

Looks like you’ll be seeing a lot more of these posts πŸ˜€

      • I’ve never read ‘The Secret’ but I’ve heard many things about it. Positive thinking and visualising success is definitely underrated and definitely worthwhile!

I look forward to seeing more of your achievements πŸ˜€

      • Oh if you’re time poor (like myself), definitely watch ‘The Secret’! Same ideas and points, just takes less time. Sound like a plan for the weeekend? yes yes yes πŸ˜€

      • That is actually a splendid idea! And I am actually certain we have the DVD lying around! So yes; I shall schedule that in πŸ™‚ Thanks for the recommendation πŸ™‚ x

  2. I LOVE and I mean LOVE this post – it was like stepping in to your daydream and getting just as carried away. When (not if) you get this house I’ll come over for a nice wine on that verandah x

    • aw πŸ˜€ love your comment! I think every house should have a verandah! Especially in Australia. We have a front deck (as close as you can get to a verandah with new homes) that looks onto the park, so blissful!
