Abandoned building in Fremantle

The day before S arrived, I saw an advert in the paper about an art exhibition in Fremantle, showcasing street art (one of my longest obsessions). The local photographer, Julian Jett, shot majority of the photos at an abandoned power station just 5 mins south, a place I’ve been meaning to check out for years. So on Sunday, S and I drove down early in the morning & I absolutely fell in love with the place.

I’m glad I got to see this building with S. Eight years ago, we used to spend our afternoons with the boys at the skatepark which was covered in graffiti as well as climbing an old supermarket building until it got torn down. My love for street art, tagging, graffiti and abandoned buildings started from a very early age with my best friend by my side so it seems like perfect timing that she was here to witness something similar in Perth with me.
